Helplessness Blues

Fleet Foxes

Three years on from the release of their celebrated self-titled debut, Seattle band Fleet Foxes will release album #2 titled ‘Helplessness Blues'on April 29. Recorded over the course of a year, the group chose to again work with 'Fleet Foxes’ producer Phil Ek (The Shins, Les Savy Fav, Band Of Horses) on ‘Helplessness Blues’. Drawing on influences from pop and folk music of the 60’s and early 70’s, “Helplessness Blues” is an album shaped by the greats; Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Byrds, The Zombies, Van Morrisson, Roy Harper, and Ennio Morricone are just a few sources of inspiration for the album. The American five piece rose to prominence in 2008 after signing with the legendary Seattle imprint, Sub Pop. Following tours supporting Blitzen Trapper and at festivals including Sasquatch! and SxSW, the group’s popularity quickly grew and their debut album “Fleet Foxes” received massive praise and universal acclaim across all media.
