Bush Kate

Her first single “Wuthering Heights” topped the UK singles chart for 4 weeks in 1978, the same year she released her debut album “The Kick Inside” and its follow-up “Lionheart”. A year later she played her only concert tour to date, the extraordinarily ambitious “Tour Of Life”. Subsequently Kate released five hugely innovative and influential albums: “Never For Ever” (1980), “The Dreaming” (1982), “Hounds Of Love” (1985), “The Sensual World” (1989) and “The Red Shoes” (1993). All 5 were landmark records which consolidated Kate Bush’s reputation as the most experimental artist of her generation. In 1993 Kate won a Brit award for Best British Female Artist and, in 2002, her songwriting was recognized with an Ivor Novello award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. In 2005 she released the incredible double CD “Aerial” , of which the Independent’s Andy Gill wrote; “Bush’s most musically diverse album a marvelous complex work”. Earlier this year Kate released “Director’s Cut”, an album which saw her revisit and reinterpret a selection of songs from the albums “The Sensual World” and “The Red Shoes”. At the same time she announced that she was working on another album, this time an album of brand new material.
