There is something primal and exciting about Steve Reich’s music. Drumming is one of his most famous works and in this re-release as part of a new series with Deutsche Grammophon featuring music from the 20th Century, it’s put with the works Six Pianos and Music fro Mallet Instruments Voices and Organ. If you have somehow missed out on hearing these works – I cannot say how much you’re missing out! These are the original recordings and the best way to be introduced to these works.
