Pianist Alfred Brendel needs no introduction; his recordings of\nMozart, Haydn, Schubert and Beethoven are numbered amongst the\nfinest ever made. Alfred is joined here by his son Adrian to play\nall of the music Beethoven wrote for cello and piano. Adrian is a\nfine cellist in his own right and the father and son duo obviously\nrelish the rapport that they have. This hauntingly beautiful\nrecording is borne of a series of recitals the pair gave last\nyear.
