Lattice weave patterns, also known as plaid, have a long history that can be traced through older cultures, but were popularised in western fashion circles at the beginning of the 19th century. Now Tartan checks and Burberry plaid, for example, have been cemented in both the higher end of fashion design and in alternative street cultures. This volume presents some 200 full-colour, vintage plaid clothing patterns, drawn from a multicultural world of fashion.
