Eat Ate celebrates author and book designer Guy Mirabella's passion for Italian food – the spirit and simplicity, the freshest of ingredients, the textures, colours and flavours – as well as his inspirations, influences and heritage. Themes of extravagance, generosity, love, tradition, life and food are woven throughout the book with stories, recipes and images. The delightful personal anecdotes and reflections on these themes incorporate childhood, family, travels and his Italian upbringing on the Mornington Peninsula and are interspersed throughout with photographs and artworks. With around 80 recipes, EatAte tempts the reader with simple, fresh and seasonal dishes prepared with love and respect for the ingredients.
