This fantasy novel for young adults is a sequel to 'In the Blood' and the second of the Outlands trilogy. Virtual engineer Danielle Forest was looking forward to spending quiet time with her lover when she is called in to investigate murders in the neighbouring Utopias. A family of werewolves are suspected and Danielle becomes a temporary resident of the Tree where they reside. Are the werewolves the killers or are humans more vicious by far? Author is a prolific children's writer who also appears regularly on 'Burke's Backyard'. She was awarded the 2000 Children's Book Council Book of the Year Award for Younger Readers for 'Hitler's Daughter'.
