Capturing the Friedmans

Ma

Capturing The Friedmans is a documentary about one of the strangest criminal cases in American history. The Friedmans seem at first to be a typical family: Arnold is an award winning school teacher, his wife Elaine a homemaker. One Thanksgiving, a police battering ram splinters the front door and officers rush into the house. Arnold and his 18 year old son are both arrested. The film follows their story from footage taken by the family on the day and through the eye's of the public.
