First live DVD from the aclaimed Toureg group from the southern Sahara. Tinariwen fought a rebellion in the early 1990s to win greater freedom and self-determination for their people. The fight was brief and bloody but it gave birth to a whole new style of desert music, powered by rolling rhythms and electric guitars. Since the release of their first album 'Radio Tisdas' and the international recognition of 'The Festival In the Desert' earlier in the decade, the band has grown in stature internationally to the point they are of World Music's premier acts.
