Hail To The Thief is another remarkable Radiohead album. For those disillusioned by the last two album releases (Kid A & Amnesiac), this new album will be welcomed like the return of an old friend. Hail To The Thief sees Radiohead depart from the beautiful, haunted darkness of recent releases, into the light that once shone. The album is a fusion of all the many wonderful facets of Radiohead. A few of the songs later in the album rate poorly, some being a little close to the middle of the road as opposed to the darkened backalley we expect from this band. Hopefully, this will be different on the official release in June, and may explain the bands disapproval of this downloaded version as being an earlier, unfinished version of the final album.
