Rufus does Judy at Carnegie Hall consists of songs taken from Wainwright’s performance over two nights in June 2006 where he recreated Judy Garland’s original April 23, 1961 concert. Following the Carnegie Hall show, which The New Yorker declared a “triumph,” Wainwright performed the concert at the Palladium in London, the Olympia in Paris and most recently, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
