Joseph Calleja's opera and concert successes are now crowned by his new recording-The Maltese Tenor. His third Decca album captures the development of his art and presents him in some of the roles he is currently performing to ecstatic critical responses. The album, recorded in Geneva with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande under Marco Armiliato, includes much loved Puccini arias from Tosca and La Boheme alongside French arias by Massenet, Gounod, Offenbach, and Bizet. Also included are love duets from La Boheme and Bizet's Les Pecheurs des perles, for with Joseph is joined by newly signed Decca soprano Aleksandra Kurzak, ahead of her own Decca debut album
