On March 17 2010 the new literary journal Kill Your Darlings took over the Readings Carlton shop to discuss review culture in Australia.

The session entitled 'Feeding the Hand that Bites: The Demise of Australian Literary Reviewing' featured (above, from left) Kill Your Darlings's editor Rebecca Starford, The Big Issue book editor Jo Case, Australian commentator Gideon Haigh and film reviewer for Empire magazine Anthony Morris.

The panel discussion centred on Gideon's essay in the the first issue of Kill Your Darlings, which criticised reviewing in broadsheet newspapers.
