The first inaugural Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards are now open for entries.

The awards run by the City of Melbourne and Melbourne Library Service include four categories - Short Story, Poetry, Three Hour Book (Print Format) and Three Hour Book (eBook Format). The winner of each category wins $1000 with the Lord Mayor’s Award of $5000 being awarded to the winner of one of the categories.

Project partners include CAE, DA Information Services and Readings. This exciting initiative aims to support and foster emerging writers in the community.
