The
winners of the Australian Publishers Association (APA) Book Design
Awards have been announced at the Sydney Writers' Festival.
W H Chong and Susan Miller took out the prize for Best Designed Children's Cover of the Year as well as Best Designed Young Adult Book for their beautiful rendition of Bernard Beckett's August (which was also one of our favourite covers of 2011). The brilliant Sandy Cull of gogoGinko and Yolande Gray also received an award for Best Designed Literary Fiction for Gillian Mears's Foal's Bread.
