September is shaping up for some heated discussions in all five of our book clubs.

Sally's Wednesday 3 September book club will discuss Alfred and Emily by Doris Lessing while her other three clubs (2pm and 5.30pm Thursday 4 September and 6pm Thursday 11 September) are discussing The Boat by Nam Le.

Justine's book club, on the third Monday (15 September this month) at 6.30pm, will discuss David Sedaris' new bestseller, When You Are Engulfed by Flames.
