Much loved and admired singer/songwriter/performer/activist Ruby Hunter has died today at the age of 54. Ruby has been part of the Australian music scene for decades. Her voice gave a new understanding to the extraordinary mistreatment of Aboriginal people in their own country.

Here at Readings we have long enjoyed her support and performances in our shops and in various venues around Melbourne. We will remember her and her music with great love. She will be so missed. Our thoughts to all that knew her, in particular to her son and to her partner Archie Roach.
