This year, Readings is proud to be supporting the PBS 106.7FM annual membership drive, The ‘Radio Fanatics’ Radio Festival.

PBS may be a name you are familiar with. If not and you enjoy music that doesn’t often get radio play elsewhere, then maybe now is the time to have a listen. PBS is a community radio station pioneering under-represented music and music diversity in Melbourne. With minimal government funding much of its income comes from membership.

Each year PBS pulls out all the stops for a two week Radio Festival, during which time as many people as possible are encouraged to sign up and support shows as well as the station overall. As an extra incentive there is a great prize pool waiting to be won, this year, worth close to $50,000 it includes a car, stereo system, VIP AFL invitations, guitars, exclusive festival tickets to Meredith, Falls and Parklife, a Readings voucher, and live band performance to name but a few.

For more information or to sign up go to www.pbsfm.org.au, phone (03) 8415 1067 or listen in on 106.7FM. PBS’ Radio Festival will be launched on May 14th with a live daytime broadcast from the Federation Square Atrium and a party from 7pm at Transport Hotel and then runs for 2 weeks from May 19. Tune in, call in and dig deep.
