We’re getting very excited for the the film adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (find the trailer here) and we’re pleased to see young readers are snapping up copies of Ransom Riggs’ terrific novel in anticipation.

We’re also delighted to see copies of The Call flying off our shelves. If you haven’t heard us rave about Peadar Ó Guilín’s absolutely terrifying / horrifying / nightmare-inducing new YA novel, please refer here and here.

Other favourites with our customers last week include a charming picture book from Andrea Beaty and David Roberts (Ada Twist, Scientist), the first book in a new series from the creator of Captain Underpants (Dog Man), a hilarious (mis)adventure with Weir Do (Mega Weird), and Leigh Hobbs’ new story featuring our favourite jet-setting chicken (Mr Chicken Arriva a Roma).
