The shortlist for the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2010 has been
announced and Australian author and two-time Man Booker winner
Peter Carey (photograph by Ashley Gilbertson) has once again made
the Booker shortlist with
Parrot and Olivier in America.
However Christos Tsiolkas's longlisted The Slap didn't make the cut from thirteen to six.
The winner of the final prize takes home £50,000 in money on October 12. Here is the shortlist:

- Room by Emma Donoghue
- In a Strange Room by Damon Galgut
- The Finkler Question by Howard Jacobson
- The Long Song by Andrea Levy
- C by Tom McCarthy
