The shortlists for the 2012 Indie Awards have been announced, with books by Anna Funder, Gillian Mears, Paul Keating and Anh Do all making the cut.
The awards, which honour the best Australian books from the past year, are chosen by independent booksellers around the nation, and the winners in each category, as well as the overall 'Book of the Year' award, will be announced on Wednesday 14 March.
