Text Classics Page to Picture series – the first Wednesday every month (from June - October, 2012). A series of events in celebration of Australian Text Classics. Watch a film adaptation of an Australian Text Classic and stay for a panel discussion about the book and film with a team of industry experts.
Wednesday 1 August’s event will focus on Kenneth Cook’s novel Wake in Fright: a terrifying journey into the heart of darkness of the Australian outback. The long-long 1977 film Wake in Fright was re-released in 2009 after a chance discovery in the United States led to its digital restoration and re-release. Hosts and panellists to be announced soon.
