Paul Kelly in conversation with Julia Gillard
Capitol Theatre, Swanston Street
Chaired by Steve Bracks.
Paul Kelly, editor-at-large of The Australian, is the pre-eminent political writer of our time. He will discuss his latest book, The March of Patriots with Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
The book looks at the Keating-Howard era of Australian politics – and it is a story of conviction politicians, tribal warriors and national interest patriots. It captures Keating and Howard as brawlers, schemers and nation-builders explaining that they were fashioned by the same forces and made by the same generation.
This will prove to be a lively discussion, chaired by Steve Bracks, one of Victoria’s most successful premiers (1999-2007).
All tickets$10 and available online only.
